Description
Remove your guilt for the love of cookies with this healthier version. It satisfies your cookie monster cravings.
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. Karo Light or Dark Corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 t. pure vanilla extract
- 2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. quick oats, NOT INSTANT
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. dried cherries
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1/4 c. flax seed
- 2 T. chia seeds
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets with non-stick cooking spray.
- Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy. Beat in corn syrup, egg and vanilla; gradually beat in flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon until combined.
- Stir in oats, almonds, cherries, raisins, flax seed and chia seeds.
