Description

Remove your guilt for the love of cookies with this healthier version. It satisfies your cookie monster cravings.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo Light or Dark Corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2 t. pure vanilla extract
  • 2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. quick oats, NOT INSTANT
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/2 c. dried cherries
  • 1/2 c. golden raisins
  • 1/4 c. flax seed
  • 2 T. chia seeds

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy. Beat in corn syrup, egg and vanilla; gradually beat in flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon until combined.
  3. Stir in oats, almonds, cherries, raisins, flax seed and chia seeds.
