Make your own chocolate snacks and know what is exactly in them. No artificial ingredients or preservatives, so they are healthier. Just be sure to make enough for everyone.
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. honey
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter or almond butter
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c. corn flakes
Combine sugar, honey and peanut butter in a large glass bowl; microwave about 2 minutes, stirring after every 30 seconds until it's smooth and liquefied. Add the chocolate; stir until melted. (If the chocolate doesn't melt into the liquid completely, just warm it another 30 seconds and stir again.) Add the cereal; stir to coat completely.
Transfer to a well-greased or parchment lined 6 inch square or 8 x 3 inch bread pan. (It's a small batch.) Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan.
Chill in the fridge until firm, about 2-3 hours.
Slice into bars; store in an airtight container in the fridge.
