This is a delicious dessert that can be taken to a pot luck and beautiful enough to serve for a special occasion.
crust:
1 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 stick butter, melted
cream cheese layer:
12 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
¼ c. sugar
8 oz. whipped topping
topping:
3 - 4 bananas, sliced
20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
16 oz. strawberries, washed, hulled, and sliced
8 oz. whipped topping
½ c. walnuts, chopped
chocolate syrup
Maraschino cherries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix flour, chopped pecans, and butter together; press in 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Crust will be thin. Cool.
In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Fold in whipped topping until thoroughly combined. Spread cream cheese mixture on top of the graham cracker crust.
Arrange banana slices in a single layer on top of the cream cheese filling. Top with an even layer of the crushed pineapple, and then an even layer of the sliced strawberries.
Cover with whipped topping. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Drizzle chocolate syrup and top with Maraschino cherries.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
