Description

Make those upcoming holidays or winter season more festive with a cute and delicious cheese ball. Decorate it to your taste with anything that your heart desires.

Ingredients

• 3 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
• 16 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
• 2 T. basil pesto
• 1 T. grated onion with juices
• 1/4 t. yellow mustard
• 2 drops red pepper sauce
• 4 oz. whipped cream cheese, softened
• decorations, as desired
• assorted crackers or fresh veggies, for serving

Steps

1. Mix together cream cheese and Cheddar cheese; divide into 3 equal parts. Combine 2 of the parts into equal two-thirds of mixture; mix in pesto. Mix onion, mustard and pepper sauce into remaining 1/3 mixture. (The smaller ball will be the head and the larger ball will be the body.)
2. Cover each cheese mixture; refrigerate about 4 hours or until firm enough to shape.
3. Shape each cheese mixture into a ball. Wrap each ball, label and freeze.
