These festive little treats would be perfect for that holiday party that you are planning. It might even be fun to make these at a party and have a contest for the best one!

Ingredients

• 12 oz. dark green candy melts
• 1 lb. strawberries, washed and stems removed
• 24 Oreo cookies
• white icing
• white sprinkles, or your choice of color
• candy stars
• Icing:
• 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
• 3 T. heavy cream
• water, added by teaspoon until desired consistency is reached

Steps

1. Set a double boiler or heat-proof bowl over a small pot of simmering water on the stovetop. Slowly melt the candy melts in the bowl, stirring occasionally. Do not allow moisture to come in contact with the candy.
2. Spoon or pipe a small amount of icing onto the top of each Oreo cookie, which will adhere the strawberry to the cookie base.
3. When candy melts are fully melted, turn heat to low while dipping the strawberries using a toothpick inserted into the cut end.
