Make the moistest and creamiest mashed potatoes ever with this recipe. The secret ingredient is mayonnaise!
1 lb. potatoes, washed and peeled
1/2 c. real mayonnaise
1 T. milk
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
butter, optional
Cover potatoes with salted water in 2 quart pot; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender; drain.
Return potatoes to pot; mash.
Stir in mayonnaise and milk. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Garnish with a pat of butter, if desired.
