The most difficult part of this delicious dessert is waiting for it to cool and set up in the refrigerator. It has a wonderful salty pretzel crust and a strawberry jello with crushed strawberries and whipping cream on top.
Pretzel Crust:
1 1/4 c. crushed pretzels
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
Pie:
3/4 c. boiling water
1- 4 serving size package strawberry-flavored gelatin
1 t. grated lime peel
1/4 c. lime juice
1 1/2 c. whipping (heavy) cream
3/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c. strawberries, slightly crushed
chocolate-covered strawberries, if desired
In a medium bowl, mix all crust ingredients. Press mixture firmly against bottom and sides of 9 inch glass pie plate.
In a large bowl, pour boiling water on gelatin; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in lime peel and lime juice. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until very thick, but not set.
Beat gelatin mixture with an electric mixer on high speed, about 4 minutes or until thick and fluffy; set aside.
In chilled large bowl, beat whipping cream and powdered sugar on high speed until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream and crushed strawberries into gelatin mixture. Pour into the crust.

Garnish with chocolate-covered strawberries, if desired. Serve.
