Chocoholics and non-chocoholics will both love this dessert. It's simple to make and takes very little time to prepare.
1 package regular Oreo cookies
6 T. melted butter
5.9 oz. package chocolate instant pudding
2 3/4 c. milk
16 oz. Cool Whip
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
Crush all cookies with a food processor or do with a rolling pin. Set aside 1 c. cookie crumbs for topping.
In a small bowl, mix remaining crumbs with the melted butter.
Press cookie crumb mixture into bottom of a 9 X 13 inch pan to form a crust.
Make chocolate pudding with the 2 3/4 c. milk according to package directions; let it setup in the refrigerator.
Using electric mixer, mix half of Cool Whip, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar in a large bowl.
Spread the Cool Whip/cream cheese/sugar mixture on top of the Oreo crust.
Spread the pudding over the previous layer, then your remaining half of Cool Whip on top.
Sprinkle the top with reserved Oreo crumbs. Chill at least 3 hours for best results.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
