Sweet cherry pie filling on top of a graham cracker crust and cheesecake filling will be the hit at your next dinner or get together. It is super easy to make and so delicious.
Crust:
2 c. crushed graham crackers
½ c. melted butter
¼ c. sugar
Filling:
8 oz package cream cheese, at room temperature
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 c. powdered sugar
1 large can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crust:
Mix crushed graham crackers, melted butter and sugar together; press evenly into a 11 x 7 baking dish. Place into oven for 5-8 minutes.
Set crust in fridge to cool while preparing the filling. If it's too hot, it will cause filling to melt when adding it later.
Filling :
With an electric mixer in a large bowl, whip heavy cream until it forms small peaks and thickens. Be careful not to whip too much or it will turn into butter if whipped too much.
In another bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in the heavy cream that was whipped earlier by hand. Gently pour this mixture onto crust (use a spatula and be gentle since the crust will be a looser type crust).
Spread the cherry pie filling on top.
Refrigerate overnight.
Serve.
**You may use Dream Whip instead of whipping cream for this.
