This is an easy meal to prepare for a weeknight dinner. In less than an hour, you will have a warm, satisfying and comforting dish that your family will beg you to make again. Serve it with a salad and garlic bread.
3 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce, your favorite store-bought or homemade
25 oz. package frozen cheese ravioli, cooked and drained
16 oz. cottage cheese (or Ricotta cheese)
Italian spices, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
16 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2-3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spread 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce in an ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Layer with half of the ravioli, 1 1/4 c. sauce, 1 c. cottage cheese and 2 c. Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with Italian spices, garlic powder, salt and pepper and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake, uncovered 30-40 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
Makes 6-8 servings.
