Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix plus ingredients called for on the box
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. heavy whipping cream
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 c. roasted peanuts, chopped
3 c. Cool Whip
1/2 c. chocolate syrup
2 Snickers Bars, chopped

Bake cake according to directions on the box in a 13 x 9 inch pan.

While cake is baking, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar and heavy whipping cream; allow to come to a boil; remove from heat.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine caramel sauce with sweetened condensed milk.

Remove the cake from oven when the cake is finished baking. While it is still warm, poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon or a skewer. Pour the caramel mixture over the top of the cake, spreading it evenly.

Sprinkle peanuts over the top of the cake; place it in the refrigerator to cool for 1 hour.

When the cake has cooled completely, remove it from the refrigerator and spread the Cool Whip over the top of the cake, spreading it evenly over the top. Drizzle on chocolate syrup; garnish with the chopped Snickers bars.

Serves 12-16.
