Make a pie the way your grandmother use to make with this wonderfully scrumptious recipe. Now this is an apple pie!
6 medium Granny Smith apples
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose
1/2 t. kosher salt
2 t. ground cinnamon
1 c. heavy cream
1 prepared pie crust
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Wash, peel, core and thinly slice the apples; place in a large mixing bowl.
Press pie crust into the bottom of a deep 9 inch pie plate. Crimp edges or smooth the edges until smooth.
Whisk together dry ingredients; sprinkle over the apples. Stir to coat all pieces; place apples in the pie crust. Pour the cream over the apples; wrap aluminum foil over edges of the pie; bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees; bake for another 55-60 minutes.
Cool completely before serving.
Refrigerate leftovers.
