This delicious sandwich can be made in minutes. It is so good with Parmesan, Cheddar and American cheeses. Serve with a pickle and chips.
2 cans or pouches (5 oz.) tuna, drained and flaked
2 T. mayonnaise
1/8 t. seasoned salt
1/8 t. ground black pepper
1/2 t. dry minced onion
4 t. sweet pickle relish or your choice (chopped celery could be substituted)
8 slices sourdough bread
8 t. butter
8 t. grated Parmesan cheese
8 slices Cheddar cheese
8 slices American cheese
Combine tuna, mayonnaise, seasoned salt, pepper, dry onion and pickle relish. Set aside.
Spread butter on one side of each piece of bread, coat with Parmesan cheese.
Build sandwiches:
Place buttered side of bread face down on a hot pan or griddle to toast. Layer with Cheddar cheese, tuna mixture, American cheese; place second piece of bread on top with buttered Parmesan side facing up. Flip to cook second side 2 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Cut diagonally to serve.
