Description
You don't have to wait for the county fair or carnival to come to town to enjoy these delicious treats. They are very decadent, and will be a huge hit when you make them. Serve them warm with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
Ingredients
- 20 oz. package Oreo cookies, regular or reduced fat
- 2 c. Bisquick
- 2 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 c. milk, regular or low-fat
- 3 t. vegetable or canola oil
- vegetable oil, enough for deep frying (about 2 qt.)
- powdered sugar
Steps
- Batter: blend Bisquick, eggs, milk, and 3 t. oil until smooth.
- Preheat the deep fryer to about 375 degrees; use a thermometer if wanting to deep fry in a pan.
- Dip cookies in the batter mixture until totally covered; place in the hot oil. Fry only 4 - 5 at a time to avoid overcrowding the deep fryer. Cook until the cookies are golden-brown, about 2 minutes.
