Use your leftover homemade chili or canned chili to make this quick and easy hot dog casserole. Use your favorite hot dogs, shredded cheese and even onions, if you wish.
6 hot dogs, your favorite
6 split hot dog buns
15 oz. can chili with beans or homemade chili
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
sauteed chopped onions, optional
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with aluminum foil and light spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Heat hot dogs according to package directions; arrange opened hot dog buns in baking dish, cut side up. Place heated hot dogs in buns. Top each with chili and onions, if desired. Sprinkle with cheese. Tent pan with foil.
Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.
