You won't be able to think about making shrimp any other way once you make these the first time. They are wonderfully delicious with shredded coconut, Bisquick and seasonings and then dipped in an orange marmalade sauce.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp:
  • 1/2 lb. medium sized raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3/4 c. Bisquick
  • 3/4 c. Blue Moon or other hefeweizen beer
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 t. seasoning salt
  • 1/4 t. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1 c. shredded coconut
  • oil, for frying
  • Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/4 c. orange marmalade
  • 1/2 t. cajun seasoning, or to taste

Steps

  1. Shrimp:
  2. Rinse shrimp under cold water; pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Add pancake mix and beer to a shallow bowl; stir until smooth.
