Whipped Shortbread Cookies

These easy to make cookies will become a family favorite. They are melt in your mouth good!
Ingredients
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
12 maraschino cherries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine butter, flour and powdered sugar; beat for 10 minutes.
Drop from mixture by a teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Decorate with maraschino cherry pieces.
Bake for 15 - 18 minutes, or until bottoms are golden brown and not white.
Cool before removing them from the cookie sheet.
3 dozen small cookies.
