Take those boring mashed potatoes that you always make and make them even better with Cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, milk and crispy fried onions.
3 c. prepared hot mashed potatoes
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1/4 t. garlic powder
1 1/3 c. (2.8 oz.) FRENCH'S® Crispy Fried Onions, divided
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together hot mashed potatoes, sour cream, milk and garlic powder.
Spoon half of the mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with 2/3 c. Crispy Fried Onions and 1/2 c. cheese. Top with remaining potato mixture.
Bake 30 minutes or until hot; top with remaining 2/3 c. Crispy Fried Onions and 1/2 c. cheese. Bake another 5 minutes or until onions are golden.
Easy Tip: Prepare instant mashed potatoes for 6 servings or used refrigerated packaged mashed potatoes in the refrigerated section of the supermarket.
