Serve them delightful little treats as an appetizer, little snack or serve with your favorite soup.

Ingredients

• 1 frozen puff pastry, thawed
• 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
• 5 T. grated Parmesan cheese or more if desired
• chopped chives and salt, for garnish

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 360 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet onto a floured surface. Use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut out individual pastry stars. Place half of them on the baking sheet. Add Parmesan cheese; top with another puff pastry star.
3. Apply a thin layer of egg wash to the top of each pastry star. Sprinkle a little cheese on top, if desired.
