You will be so impressed by how easy this is to make, you will make it often. Serve it as a dessert or even breakfast, if desired.
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
2 packages 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 t. vanilla extract (or orange extract)
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 T. cinnamon
1 c. sugar, plus 1/2 c. sugar, for sprinkling
honey, if desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Unroll and spread 1 can crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Combine softened cream cheese, 1 c. sugar and vanilla; spread over crescent roll layer.
Unroll and layer remaining crescent rolls over cream cheese layer. Spread melted butter over the top of the crescent rolls. Sprinkle with mixture of 1 T. cinnamon and 1/2 c. sugar.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and slightly browned.
Drizzle with a little honey, if desired. Let cool a bit. Slice and serve.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
