Satisfy those cravings for something rich and chocolatey with this hot chocolate. It's super easy to make and definitely yummy.
4 c. low fat/skim milk (or fat-free milk, whole milk, lactose-free milk)
2 T. Nutella, a chocolate hazelnut spread (or other hazelnut cacao spread)
2 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 T. natural sweetener of choice/raw sugar
Optional Toppings:
dollops of unsweetened whipped cream
marshmallows, toasted on foil-lined baking sheet under broiler 30 - 45 seconds, until golden
crushed hazelnuts
chocolate chips
extra Nutella
Heat milk in a medium saucepan on medium-high heat until beginning to warm and steam. Add hazelnut spread, cocoa powder and sugar; whisk until dissolved and combined. Bring to a gentle simmer while stirring. Remove from heat.
Serve with choice of desired toppings.
