This recipe is so good and easy, you can make it almost last minute. You don't even need to pop the popcorn yourself. Serve it in a large bowl or place in individual festive holiday bags.
8 c. popped popcorn (Gaslamp Sea Salt & Olive Oil is great if you can find it)
2 c. pretzels, rods or mini-twists
1 c. nuts, optional (almonds or your favorite)
12 oz. bag white chocolate chips (about 2 c.)
1 T. vegetable oil or shortening
11 oz. bag holiday M&Ms
Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Pour popcorn, pretzels, and nuts in a very large bowl.
Place white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl; coat with oil. Place in microwave and heat on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Pour melted chocolate over the popcorn mixture; carefully toss to coat. Turn out mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet; let sit to set, or chill if needed.
Once set, break apart the popcorn mixture; place in a large resealable bag for storage; add the M&Ms.
Serve in a large bowl.
Mixture stays good for up to 1 week as long as it's in an airtight container or bag.
