Serve these delicious cheesy, garlicky breadsticks as an appetizer or along with spaghetti, a salad or your favorite Italian meal.
2 c. all-purpose flour
1½ t. garlic salt
1 t. granulated sugar
1½ t. dry active yeast
¾-1 c. lukewarm water
1 T. olive oil
4 T. salted butter
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. Italian seasoning
2 c. Italian shredded cheese blend
½- 1 T. Parmesan cheese
chopped parsley, for garnish
warm pizza sauce, for serving, if desired
In a medium size bowl, whisk together flour, garlic salt, sugar, and yeast; slowly add in water; mix together until dough is created. Using your hands, knead for 1 minute; form a ball.
Spread 1 T. olive oil in a separate bowl; transfer pizza dough to the bowl; cover with a paper towel for 1 hour or until dough has doubled.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Roll out dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
Add butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning to a small bowl; microwave until melted; whisk together; brush on the dough. Sprinkle dough with shredded cheese blend and Parmesan cheese; sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Bake 15-17 minutes or until dough has browned and cheese is melted and golden.
Cut bread into sticks. Serve with warm pizza sauce, if desired.
