Description
This is an easy, uncomplicated and delicious salad to make for your family. Serve it with your favorite main dish for a change of pace.
Ingredients
- 4 oz. Italian parsley, rinsed, dried, leaves picked, stems discarded, then roughly chopped
- chopped
- red onion or shallots, to taste, optional
- 2 T. lemon zest
- 2 T. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 6 T. walnut oil
- 2 t. dark sesame oil
- 1 t. honey
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 T. toasted sesame seeds
Steps
- In a large bowl, whisk together lemon zest and juice, walnut and sesame oils, honey, salt and pepper, to taste.
- Add parsley, onion, if using and sesame seeds; toss to combine.
- Allow salad to sit for at least 30 minutes so that flavors meld before serving.
