In a small bowl, stir together espresso and Marsala wine; set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together condensed milk and mascarpone cream until smooth, silky and thick and not runny. There should be no lumps in the mixture when finished.

Soak ladyfingers in espresso mixture, turning them several times so that the ladyfingers are evenly moistened but are not soggy and are still firm, but absorb enough of the mixture and to be a pale coffee color.

In a large, clear serving bowl or trifle bowl, lay the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of the bowl, covering the entire base. Spoon on the mascarpone mixture, smoothing over the top and into the edges of the bowl.

Sprinkle cocoa powder through a sieve over the top of the cream, making sure to cover all the mascarpone mixture.

Repeat this process until no more ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture are left. There should be about 3 - 4 layers. Finish with the mascarpone mixture on top and cocoa powder to garnish.

Cover with plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator overnight.

Serve.

6 servings.
