This chili is prepared with two different sausages and two different beans, canned tomatoes, onion and seasonings. Serve topped with shredded cheese.
19 oz. package Sweet Ground Italian Sausage (JOHNSONVILLE)
19 oz. package Hot Ground Italian Sausage (JOHNSONVILLE)
1 medium onion, diced
3 - 14.5 oz. cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 16 oz. cans Pinto Chili Beans, undrained
16 oz. can Kidney Chili Beans, undrained
6 oz. can tomato paste, only if wanting thicker chili
½ t. crushed red pepper flakes, optional
shredded cheese, for topping
In large sauce pan, brown sausage; drain and discard grease. Add onion; cook 3-5 minutes or until tender. Stir in tomatoes, chili beans, tomato paste, and red pepper flakes; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover; simmer 15-20 minutes.
Serve; sprinkle with shredded cheese or favorite toppings.
