What a simple way to make a wonderful cake- in the slow cooker! It's so delicious with chocolate, peanut butter, fudge sauce and peanut butter cups. Yum!!
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 c. water
3 eggs
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/3 c. butter, softened
Peanut Butter Glaze:
1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. powdered sugar
Toppings:
1/4 c. fudge sauce, your favorite
26 mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped and cut in half
Spray a 6 quart oval slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix, water, eggs, peanut butter and butter on low speed for 30 seconds and then on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour batter into the slow cooker; cover; cook on High for 1 hour 45 minutes - 2 hours. (If your crock pot runs hot, check after 1 1/2 hours.)
Remove slow cooker crock and place on a wire rack to cool for 15 minutes.
Peanut Butter Glaze:
Whisk together peanut butter, milk and powdered sugar in a medium bowl.
Spread on top of cake. Sprinkle on fudge sauce and place peanut butter cups on top.
