You won't really die from eating this dessert, but you may die if you don't have enough to serve everyone. It has layers of fudge brownies, chocolate mousse or pudding, Toffee candy bits and whipped cream that will make everyone happy.
13 x 9 inch pan of fudge brownies, baked, cooled and cut into bite sized pieces
1 large pkg. instant chocolate mousse or instant chocolate pudding
1 1/2 c. cold milk for chocolate mousse or 2 c. cold milk for pudding
1 pkg. Heath toffee bits or 2 chocolate toffee candy bars, crushed into bits, plus more for garnish, if desired
16 oz. whipped cream
Prepare mousse/pudding according to package directions, but with the above listed amount of cold milk; set aside.
Place about half of the brownie bites in a single layer on the bottom of a trifle bowl. Pour half of the pudding/mousse on top of the brownies; smooth out in an even layer. Layer with half of the whipped cream, then half of the toffee bits. Repeat layers one more time. Garnish with more toffee bits, if desired.
Refrigerate 4 hours before serving.
