Description
Do you love sliders, but not all of the work involved with making each little sandwich? Make these easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders in a baking dish, keeping the bottoms of the rolls intact, as well as the tops. This makes the preparation so much easier an
Ingredients
- 1 package Hawaiian rolls
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1 T. olive oil
- 1 green pepper, sliced or diced
- 1 onion, sliced or diced
- 1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced ( or 1 box Thinly Sliced Steak -found in frozen food section)
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 slices Provolone cheese
- 3 T. butter, melted
- grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cut the sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally (across) with a serrated knife. Place bottoms in a parchment-lined, oven-safe baking dish. The parchment paper should hang over a bit to help lift the rolls out later. Spread mayonnaise on insides or the tops and bottoms of the rolls.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add onions and green peppers; cook for 5 minutes until tender; add steak; season with salt and pepper. Cook steak until tender; remove from heat.
