Description
This meal is awesome and easy to make. Your friends and family will thank you for it. Serve with a crusty, toasted bread, if desired.
Ingredients
- 4 bell peppers, rinsed, halved, seeds and membranes discarded, your favorite colors
- oil, for frying
- 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 16 oz. Crimini mushrooms
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 16 slices Provolone cheese
Steps
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a large baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place peppers in prepared baking dish; bake until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil; add steak; cook about 1 minute per side; remove steak to a plate; set aside. Add onions and mushrooms; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Return steak to skillet; stir to combine.
