Description
This quick and simple to prepare can be served as the main dish or even as a side dish. It is delicious with lots of garlic, butter and white wine, some seasoning and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry spaghetti or preferred pasta
- 1 large head of garlic (about 12 cloves), peeled and roughly chopped
- 6 T. butter
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 1 t. Italian seasoning
- salt, freshly ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
- freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
Steps
- Cook pasta in a large well salted stockpot of boiling water al dente according to package instructions. Drain; set aside.
- While the pasta water is heating, melt the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat; add garlic; saute for 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's fragrant and just starts to brown.
- Slowly add in the white wine, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5-10 minutes, or until pasta is done. Taste; season with salt and pepper and red pepper flakes, if desired.
