These crockpot turtles are so yummy, you won't be able to stop eating them. They are simple to make, just layer the ingredients into the crockpot and let it do all of the work for you. When finished cooking, dollop scoops out onto parchment paper to cool,
16 oz. whole raw pecans (reserve 1/2 c. for garnish)
24 oz. chocolate flavored candy coating (almond bark or candiquik)
2 oz. Baker's German chocolate bar
11 oz. bag caramel bits
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
In a 5 qt. crockpot, layer pecans, then candy coating, then chocolate bar; cover. Cook on Low for 1 hour. Do not stir.
After 1 hour stir mixture; continue to cook, stirring every 15-20 minutes for 1 hour (a total of 2 hours). Once mixture has completely come together, stir in caramel bits; turn off the heat. Cover for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile line countertop or table with a long piece of parchment paper.
Stir. Use 2 spoons to dollop out candy from crockpot onto the parchment paper. Make sure candy does not touch each other.
