Ingredients
- Bechamel Sauce:
- 1/4 c. cultured butter
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. whole milk
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 t. Dijon mustard
- pinch of freshly ground nutmeg
- Sandwiches:
- 10 slices of artisanal sandwich bread
- 8 oz. thinly sliced prosciutto
- 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz. freshly grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 5 eggs
Steps
- Bechamel Sauce:
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook, stirring constantly until thoroughly incorporated. Slowly add milk, while whisking constantly until mixture is smooth. Cook, stirring often until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper, Dijon and nutmeg.
