Need a scrumptious, beautiful dessert that isn't time consuming and doesn't have a ton of ingredients? This Italian inspired Oreo Cannoli Cream Pie is just that and will wind up on the top of your dessert recipe list.
8 oz. package of cream cheese, room temperature
1 t. vanilla extract
8 oz. tub Cool Whip, divided, softened
1 c. ricotta
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. mini-chocolate chips
9 inch round Oreo crust
additional mini-chocolate chips, for garnish
Beat cream cheese with a whip attachment until smooth. Add half of the Cool Whip; beat until combined. Slowly stir in ricotta and powdered sugar until blended. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread mixture into the Oreo pie crust. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top. Garnish with chocolate chips.
Chill in the refrigerator 3-4 hours, preferably overnight.
*Tip: If you don't make it overnight, prepare it first thing in the morning so it has enough time to set before serving. If pinched for time, place it in the freezer for a bit to firm up properly.
