It's easy to make your own roasted peppers right in your own oven. Serve them as appetizers or in your favorite dishes.
4 red peppers
1 t. olive oil or olive oil spray
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Wash red peppers; dry; cut into large pieces.
Place cut side down onto prepared baking sheet. Spray peppers with olive oil and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until peppers reach desired texture. For a firmer pepper, cook less, and for a softer pepper, cook longer.
Let peppers rest after roasting.; peel. Or place them into a large bowl; cover with plastic wrap, allowing them to steam a bit. Once the peppers are cooled down a litttle in the bowl, they will be easy to peel.
