Description
This salmon dish can be on your table in just 20 minutes, so you won't have to wait long to serve it to your family. The salmon is cooked in a creamy, garlic butter sauce and turns out flaky and juicy. Serve it with your favorite rice and veggie.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets, skin removed
- 2 T. butter
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 c. white wine or preferred stock
- 1 c. cream
- 1/2 c. milk mixed with 1 T. cornstarch
- 2 T. lemon juice
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Steps
- Heat a large non-stick skillet; brown salmon on both sides in oil until golden brown; remove from skillet; set aside; add butter and red onion; saute until soft and fragrant; add garlic; saute 30 seconds.
- Pour in the wine/stock; allow to reduce; pour in cream and milk mixture; bring to a simmer; cook for 5 minutes before adding lemon juice and zest. Season to taste; add salmon back to skillet. Cook salmon in the sauce for 3-5 minutes.
- Serve garnished with the parsley.
