If you have made a flourless cake before and it didn't come out very good, try this recipe. The result is truly amazing. Be sure to use heavy whipping cream and a good quality cocoa powder like the recipe instructs. The result will be a cake that is rich,
Ingredients
- Cake:
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ c. salted butter
- ¾ c. granulated sugar
- ½ c. unsweetened dutch process cocoa powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- Ganache:
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ c. heavy cream
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a 9 inch cake pan; line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Place chocolate chips and butter into a microwavable mixing bowl; microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until everything is melted and smooth.
- Pour in sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla extract; combine everything together using a hand mixer. DO NOT over mix. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure everything is just mixed. Pour into the prepared cake pan. Bake 25 minutes.
