Ingredients
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 - 15 oz. cans kidney beans, drained
- 2 - 14.5 oz. cans stewed or canned tomatoes, undrained and broken up with hands
- 3 T. chili seasoning mix, or to taste
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Steps
- Cook ground beef, onion and garlic in a large pot over medium heat until crumbly and browned, 5 - 10 minutes; drain/discard fat.
- Add kidney beans, tomatoes and chili seasoning to the pot; stir; cook over medium-high heat.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are slightly tender and chili is heated through, about 15 - 20 minutes.
