Make your own favorite restaurant's famous salad dressing at home in a matter of minutes. Serve it on a green salad topped with croutons.
1/2 c. full fat mayonnaise
1/2 c. low-fat buttermilk
2 1/2 t. dried basil, not over 1 year old or it will be stale
1/4 t. garlic powder
1 pinch salt
1/4 c. freshly, finely grated Parmesan cheese (not packaged grated bagged store bought)
green salad
croutons
Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl; whisk until well blended; pour into an airtight container.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Serve over green salad with croutons.
Makes 1 cup for about 4 servings.
