Description

There's pumpkin bread and then there is pumpkin bread with chocolate chips! This is the best pumpkin bread ever. It's super easy to make, is very moist and is loaded with chocolate chips. It makes the perfect breakfast, snack or dessert.

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
3 large eggs
2 t. vanilla extract
15 oz. canned pumpkin
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 T. baking soda
1 t. salt
3/4 t. ground cinnamon
1/4 t. ground cloves
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
12 oz. package chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease, flour then line the bottoms of two 9x5 inch loaf pans with parchment paper.

Add sugar and butter to a mixing bowl; beat with an electric mixer until well combined. Add eggs, pumpkin and vanilla; mix to combine.

In a separate bowl, add flour, baking powder and baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg; mix to combine.

Alternately add flour mixture, then milk to pumpkin mixture, starting and ending with flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips at the end. Pour the batter into the prepared pans.

Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for a few minutes in the pan before inverting onto a wire rack to cool.

24 servings, from two 9x5 inch loaves or four mini loaves.

*If making mini loaves, check after 35 minutes of baking, then every 5 minutes and then after that, if necessary, until done.
