These decadent brownies are full of white, milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips and lots caramel to make one of the best brownies ever.
1 box chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. oil
2 eggs
1 c. each of semi-sweet chips, milk chocolate chips, white chips and dark chocolate chips
1/2 c. margarine or butter
32 unwrapped Kraft caramels
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan.
Combine cake mix, oil and eggs; blend well; stir in all of the chips. The mixture will be very thick.
Press half of the mixture into bottom of prepared pan. It will make a very thin layer. Bake 10 minutes; remove from oven.
While cake is baking, in a medium saucepan, combine butter, caramels and condensed milk; cook over low to medium heat until melted and smooth, stirring constantly. Spread caramel over partially baked cake mixture. Top with remaining cake/chip mixture. It won't completely cover, but just press the mixture flat using fingers and lay it in small sections over the caramel.
Bake 25 - 30 minutes. Remove from oven; cool 20 minutes; run a knife around edges; cool completely before cutting.
