Hot dogs, cheese and chili are favorites with most people. Serve them together in this great dish that will feed a crowd.
cooking spray, for baking dish
24 small slider buns, split in half
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
8 hot dogs, beef or pork
15 oz. can chili
1/2 small white onion, chopped
2 T. butter, melted
1/2 t. garlic powder
2 T. finely chopped chives, for garnish, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a large baking dish with cooking spray.
Place the bottom halves of the buns in the baking dish; scatter half of the cheese over the buns.
Split each hot dog in half lengthwise; lay side-by-side over cheese; top hot dogs with chili, remaining cheese, onion and top bun halves.
Brush tops of buns with melted butter; sprinkle with garlic powder.
Bake 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and buns are slightly toasted.
Garnish with chives. Serve immediately.
