You'll love this smooth and silky chocolate pie because it is delicious without being too rich. Garnish it with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if you wish.
10 inch baked pie crust
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 T. all-purpose flour
2 T. cocoa
2 egg yolks
1 t. vanilla
3 T. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. milk
whipped cream
chocolate shavings
In a large saucepan, whisk together sugar, flour and cocoa.
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, egg yolks and vanilla; pour into the saucepan. Turn heat to medium; stir in butter; heat to a rolling boil for 1 minute until thickened.
Pour into the baked pie crust, smoothing out the top, or tap the pie on the countertop to help it settle.
Let cool at room temperature for 2 hours. Chill in the refrigerator for another 2 hours.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
6-8 servings.
