Cauliflower Parmesan Steaks

Description

You definitely won't be disappointed with these healthy Italian seasoned cauliflower steaks. Serve them as an appetizer, a light meal or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, stem trimmed, cut vertically into 1 inch steaks
  • 3 T. extra-virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 c. marinara sauce
  • 1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c. basil leaves, torn
  • crushed red pepper flakes , to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Arrange cauliflower steaks in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet; brush both sides with oil; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast, flipping over once midway, until cauliflower is tender and golden, about 35 minutes.
