You definitely won't be disappointed with these healthy Italian seasoned cauliflower steaks. Serve them as an appetizer, a light meal or as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 large head cauliflower, stem trimmed, cut vertically into 1 inch steaks
- 3 T. extra-virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 c. marinara sauce
- 1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 c. basil leaves, torn
- crushed red pepper flakes , to taste
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Arrange cauliflower steaks in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet; brush both sides with oil; season with salt and pepper.
- Roast, flipping over once midway, until cauliflower is tender and golden, about 35 minutes.
