Description
Never heard of grilled avocados? They are delicious and ready in just minutes. They make a great side dish to serve with any grilled meat or fish, salad or even your favorite Mexican food.
Ingredients
2 large, ripe, avocados (each about 9 oz.)
2 T.freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice
1 1/2 T. olive oil
seasoned salt, to taste
1/2 c. fresh salsa for half shell version, optional

Preheat grill. Wash avocados well before cutting.
Grilled Avocado Slices:
Cut each avocado in half, seed, peel and slice. Drizzle both sides of each slice with freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice then brush lightly with olive oil.
Gently place slices on grill over hot coals for 2 minutes per side.
Season with salt to taste.
Grilled Half Shells:
Cut each avocado in half and remove seed. Do not peel. Drizzle with freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice; brush lightly with olive oil.
Gently place cut side down on grill over hot coals for 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt to taste. You could fill with fresh salsa or your favorite fresh ingredients, if desired.
