Cheesy Pretzel Knots

Description

These cheesy pretzel bites make a fun appetizer/ snack for parties of any kind. They're easy to make and taste great just the way they are. You could also sprinkle them with sea salt and garlic powder or adding green onion with the cheese and bacon.

Ingredients

1 can Pillsbury™ refrigerated classic pizza crust
8 oz. block Cheddar cheese, cut into 10 - 15 cubes
8 oz. bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1 T. olive oil or reserved bacon drippings
1 T. coarse sea salt
salsa and/or queso dip, for serving, if desired

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie/baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut cheese block into cubes.

Unroll dough onto a cutting board; cut dough out into 10 - 15 (5 x 3 inch) strips. Place a cheese cube in centers of each strip; sprinkle each with bacon; wrap dough around cheese and bacon to form a knot; pinch dough to seal tightly.

Place knots on prepared baking/cookie sheet. Brush knots with olive oil; sprinkle tops with salt.

Bake about 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven.

Serve warm with salsa or queso for dipping.
