Description
This side dish is totally awesome. It has only 3 ingredients, is economical, it's easy to prepare, but best of all, it tastes incredible. Serve it like it is, or perhaps with plain Greek yogurt or a buttery tomato sauce on top.
Ingredients
- 4 c. chicken stock/broth (or veggie stock/broth)
- 2 c. long grain white rice
- ½ c. butter
- salt, to taste
Steps
- Place chicken stock/broth and rice in a large pot; bring to a boil; reduce heat to low; cover; simmer for 15 minutes.
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking time, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-high heat until it browns, the foam starts to clear and it's a dark brown, similar to chocolate.
- After the rice has simmered for the 15 minutes, remove from the heat.
