Description

Anytime is a good time to make these pretty Italian cookies, but the holidays make them even more special.

Ingredients

• 2 c. flour
• 1 c. sugar
• 1 c. ricotta cheese
• 3 egg yolks
• 3 whipped egg whites
• 1 t. baking powder
• 1/2 c. softened butter
• pinch of salt
• cherry jam
• powdered sugar

Steps

1. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, put sugar and ricotta cheese; add egg yolks, butter, flour and baking powder; add egg whites and a pinch of salt; stir well.
3. Make cookies with a hole in the center, placing cookies on the prepared cookie sheet. Let cookies stand for 30 minutes.
