Celebrate Christmas with these festive cocktails. They are simple to make and so good!
Mimosas:
750 mL bottle champagne or Prosecco
3/4 c. cranberry blood orange or pomegranate juice
rosemary springs, for garnish
sugared cranberries, for garnish
Sugared Cranberries:
4 oz. fresh cranberries
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar, divided
1/3 c. water
Mimosas:
Add 1 oz. juice of choice to a champagne flute; fill up with champagne/Prosecco; garnish cocktail with rosemary sprigs and about 7 sugared cranberries.
Sugared Cranberries:
Add 1 c. sugar and the water to a saucepan over medium heat; whisk until sugar dissolves; bring mixture to a boil, cooking for 2 - 3 minutes; set aside until cool enough to touch.
Once syrup is cool, either dunk cranberries in the juice or pour the liquid over top of them in a bowl. Place remaining sugar on a plate. The cranberries stay the prettiest if you remove any syrup “globs” and then roll them in the sugar 1 at a time.
Makes 6 cocktails.
