Hot wings are a favorite with many people, but wings can be enjoyed other ways too. These are just as delicious with a cheesy, garlicky flavor. They are baked, so they are a little healthier, there is less grease and less mess to clean up later.
3 lb. chicken wings, split, tips removed (about 36 split wings in total)
2 T. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. seasoned salt
1/2 t. black pepper
Sauce:
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. black pepper
1/4 t. seasoned salt
4-6 dashes hot sauce (Louisiana hot sauce)
1 T. parsley, for garnish
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil; place parchment paper over the foil.
Pat wings dry with paper towels; toss with flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Place wings in a single layer on prepared pan.
Bake wings 20 minutes; flip; bake another 15 minutes.
While wings are baking, combine all sauce ingredients. Toss sauce with baked wings until well coated.
Optional: Turn oven up to 475 degrees. Bake wings an additional 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
